The decorative paper is the essential raw material in many building materials products, such as the pressure plate, fire prevention board and floor which may be used in furniture and cabinets.
In the product structure, decorative paper is put under the surface, which is mainly for providing decorative effect and prevent the glue solution from permeating. This kind of paper has good covering power, dipping property and printing performance. Smooth surface, good absorbency and adaptability is required in decorative paper.
As the heat up in real estate industry, people's requirement in living environment is increasing, which promotes the sales of decorative paper, along with the rapid development of wood floor, melamine paper and artificial board, decorative paper industry has also gone into a booming period, with the increasing quantity demanded and enhancing in quality. In the late 1990 s, real wood furniture is still the major part in social production of furniture. Nowadays, furniture packed in decorative paper is in vogue with its freshness and elegant appearance, which overcome the disadvantages of wood furniture, such as heavy and high cost.
Decorative paper can be classified according to the different applications:
First, tissue paper, printed with wood grain, is used in MDF, HDF, plywood. It has properties of good absorbency, basis weight, thickness, brightness, stretch, appearance and comfort. During the veneering, adhesive should be used.
Second, Titanium Oxide Paper, also printed with wood grain. Soaked or coated with a small amount of resin, with the content from 20% to 60%. The adhesive should also be used and the wear resistance is very high.
Third, low pressure melamine impregnated paper, printed with wood grain and dipped in low pressure melamine resin with the content from 130% to 150%.
